[KanalKultur] - İstanbul Mine Sanat Galerisi, Nişantaşı mekânında 17 aralık 2014 - 24 ocak 2015 tarihleri arasında küratörlüğünü Lütfiye Bozdağ'ın yaptığı Sabahat Çıkıntaş'ın resim, video ve enstalâsyonlarından oluşan "de-şif-re" başlıklı sergisi yer alıyor.

Sabahat Çıkıntaş, sezgileriyle sanat üreten bir sanatçı. Üretimlerinde etkilendiği ve resimlerinin arketipinde yer alan varlık ve zaman sorunsalı, onun tüm sanat anlayışının bir özeti olarak okunabilir.

Çıkıntaş, "de-şif-re" sergisi için ürettiği işlerinde; geçmiş anların donmuş kanıtları olan görüntülerin üzerine boya müdahaleleri ve yerleştirdiği kare biçimler ile dikkati çekiyor. Pisagor'a göre; ateş-hava-su-toprak gibi evreni oluşturan dört temel elementin sembolü olan kare, sanatçının resimlerinde yer alan en asal öge. Sabahat Çıkıntaş için kare, nesneler dünyasının sembolik durumlarını temsil ediyor. Kare üzerinden yaptığı biçimsel soyutlamalar sanatçının öznelci ve ifadeci bir tavırla gerçekleştirdiği kompozisyonlarında resim yüzeyini bölen, parçalayan, bazen de tümleyen yüzeyler olarak, onun kozmos içinde evrenselliği aradığı bir neoplastisizmi gözler önüne seriyor.

Sabahat Çıkıntaş'ın üretimleriyle yaşamı aynı paralelde ilerleyen, gelişen bir paralel süreç olarak ortaya çıkıyor. Üretimlerinde kendini ve yaşamından kesitleri soyutlayarak dışavuran sanatçı, kendi tasarladığı kostümü giymesiyle kendi varlığını sanatıyla bütünleştiriyor. Tam ve bütün olarak, görünen ve görünmeyen, algılanan ve algılanmayan yanlarıyla içsel sezgilerini, duyumlarını "de-şif-re" ediyor, dudak hareketlerinden oluşan videosu ile kesik kesik heceler şeklinde serginin tematiği olan "de-şif-re" repliğini heceliyor.

"de-cipher"

In Istanbul Mine Art Gallery, Nisantasi venue, there is an exhibition named under the title of "de-cipher", curated by Lutfiye Bozdag, which consists of the artist Sabahat Çıkıntaş paintings, videos and installations.
Sabahat Çıkıntaş is an artist, who produces art with her intuitions. The problematique of existence and time partaking in the influences and the archetype of her paintings can be read as a summary of her whole art perceptivity.

In the produced works for the "de-cipher" exhibition, Çıkıntaş catches the attention with the paint interventions on the images which are the frozen proofs of the past moments. According to Pythagoras; square is the symbol of fire-air-water-earth which are the four main elements that compose the universe, and square is also the most fundamental element in the paintings of the artist. Square represents the symbolic conditions of the world of the objects regarding to Sabahat Çıkıntaş. Artist's figural abstractions through square, by dividing, shattering and sometimes complementing the painting surface in the created compositions with a subjectivist and expressionist attitude displays a neoplasticism, which is in search of universalism in the cosmos.

Sabahat Çıkıntaş outputs and her life proceed in same parallel, and arise as a thriving parallel process. The artist, who manifests by abstracting herself and slices of her life, integrates her existence with her art, while wearing the costume that she designed. She "de-ciphers" her inner intuitions, and sensations with factual and entire, seen and unseen, perceived and unperceived sides, with the video composed of the movement of her lips, she syllabise by snatches the theme of the exhibition "de-cipher".

Sabahat Çıkıntaş

1955'te Eskişehir'de doğdu. 1974'te Soma-Linyit Lisesi'ni bitirdi. 1998-1999 arasında çocuk yuvasında resim hocalığı yaptı.  18 kişisel sergi gerçekleştirdi. Çalışmalarını halen İstanbul Beyoğlu'ndaki atölyesinde sürdürüyor. [KanalKultur]
