[KanalKultur] - Aylin Yavuz 1983'te Almanya'da doğdu ve Siegen, Dortmund ve İstanbul üniversitelerinde sanat okudu. Şu an İstanbul'da yaşayan sanatçı, 2005 yılından bu yana resim ve grafiklerden oluşan yapıtlarıyla uluslararası sanat dünyasında yer alıyor.

Yapıtların önemli unsurları vücut ve vücut duruşları üzerine oluşturduğu desenlerdir. Bunlar, vücudun duruş şekline ve vücudun resimde aldığı yere göre resime suskunluktan düşünceli-neşeliye varan bir atmosfer verir. Bazen vücut çizgileri tipografik parçalarla birleştirilmiştir ya da tipografik parçalar tümüyle çizgilerin yerini alırlar. Göçmen ailesinden gelen sanatçı, resimlerinde incir veya şamfistığı gibi doğu kökenli yiyecekleri kullanarak doğu kültürüne duyduğu övgüyü gösteriyor.

Önceki yıllarda Gerhard Richter ve Joseph Beuys'a da ev sahipliği yapmış olan Kunstpalast'da Manfred Vogel ve Oleg Tcherny gibi Avrupa'nın ileri gelen sanatçılarıyla birlikte aynı sergide yer aldı. Almanya'nın önemli sanat dergilerinden Kunstzeitung NRW ve WAZ (Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung), sergilerinin ardından genç sanatçı hakkında övgüyle bahsetti.

Aylin Yavuz (born 18 June 1983) studied art at the universities of Siegen, Dortmund and Istanbul. Since 2005 she has been making contributions to the arts with videos, graphics and paintings. Besides art, she works for her own children's- and storybook-publishing company Gillvuz, founded in 2007, also giving lectures and conducting workshops on it at universities, schools and preschools. She lives and works in Istanbul.In her drawings and paintings Aylin Yavuz incorporates aspects of the present, filtered through a postmodern, aesthetic approach, which leaves room for the viewer's own imagination.

The bodylines depicted, in their simultaneous and harmonious composition, yield abstract forms. The work comes together into a kind of net, based on the idea that everything is connected and functions in the end as a signpost in the picture. Also lettering is spread out as a large net of lines and stirs one to introspection in its significance.

Nodal points are set using color elements or representational objects, such as figs or pistachio. Aylin Yavuz lends the body and its sexuality a certain irony and a touch of humor. She accomplishes this through the selection of positions, associations, the exaggeration of the symbolism of various objects and by contrasting color spaces.

Deconstruction and composition, addition and simultaneousness, combination and allusion are her artistic methods. Abandoning from her work any striking and dramatic effects and immediacy accounts for the viewer's calm and contemplative yet light-hearted spirit. Aylin Yavuz removes the common concept of beauty and shows a different perception,
